Interaction of digital product
I worked on webpage that offers renting a service of private chef specialized in Italian kitchen.
My intention is for the interaction to be engaging, and for scrolling to be fun – the user should be curious about each subsequent section, while the end of each section should seamlessly lead into the next one, encouraging further scrolling. I wanted to present this brand as fresh and modern, and the associations I aimed to build around it are delicious food and carefree fun.
The pizza moving along with the scroll draws attention to it and encourages further scrolling.
The horizontal scroll is intended to diversify the interaction. The rotation of the plates is meant to emphasize the scrolling direction. Revealing section number 3 with the video
Section number 3 is revealed. The video is meant to draw attention to the newly appearing section.
Cards appearing one by one, describing the “behind the scenes” process, are meant to maintain the user’s attention – one card at a time.
At the same time, this is the final section, so assuming the scenario where the user wants to scroll quickly, they will stop at this section before reaching the footer.
Kinetic branding
I came up with an idea of electronic music festival called Cypher. Cypher, in street dance, is a term that refers to a circle within which the dancer performs. The shape of the cypher also draws a connection to the Enigma machine – a cipher device that features rotating circular components in its design.
With my project, I want to evoke a sense of excitement, build tension through the gradual reveal of the message, and create an air of mystery leading up to the event, with which the organizers and artists aim to surprise their audience.
Character influence the perception of kinetic branding
The extended timing is meant to build suspense. Words appearing one by one add dynamism, emphasizing the regularity and rhythm of the electronic music that will be played at the festival.
Messages appearing individually from different directions and disappearing in various places are intended to convey a sense of unpredictability, reflecting the nature of the event—no one knows what will happen next.
The encoded word “Cypher” introduces an element of mystery—it gets decoded and smoothly increases in size by several percent to highlight the approaching event.
